November

November

As the summer comes to an end, people are warming up to their beds, warm blankets, and jackets as well as their families, but nothing amounts to the memories beforehand. November is a time of settling just before the holidays, a pivotal moment in time where people warm up with hot chocolate and a nice playlist searching for the motivation to finish up their holiday shopping and cooking. The month brings much joy and peace to many as the leaves fall and the cool breeze blows. The settling of the season and homes allow for a moment for people to evaluate their lives and their past year as it is brought to an end. As they fly through the pages of their stories from the good, bad, and ugly thoroughly evaluate every aspect of their life and sum it into one feeling. Whether their feelings are remorse or glee, November is that one month of the year where all emotions come to a head.

Throughout their celebrations or reset, people are constantly looking for guidance and understanding whether it comes from people or music. To connect with a playlist or song throughout this month would be a blessing to all as their feelings and emotions are pinpointed and simmered down to words they can feel. Through the words a person is able to live vicariously through the story of the songwriter, spicing up the holiday season encouraging people to finish up last-minute shopping and cooking. All around the world the month of November is different for everyone and is experienced differently. As many will scramble to find their song, it can be hard to say that the mere thought is completely possible, as people live their lives differently not making the same choices as the next person and songs taking different routes other than that of a specified person.

November symbolizes growth and perseverance and something as prideful and varying as that can not be mirrored in a sense where their every thought is summed up by that of an artist. A song by Tyler The Creator talks of deep thoughts, fun, and pivotal memories that he connects to his November, about halfway through the song Tyler allows for some of his friends to describe their “Novembers”. They described their Novembers ranging from moments of seeing Erykah Badu perform live, to creating their first featured film. As seen by their answers, November is a moment of bliss and happiness that will stick to you forever. Later in the song, Tyler goes on to repeat the sentence “Take me back” as he expresses his desire to be back in his world of Euphoria and peace. Many can say they feel the same way looking on their past “Novembers” desiring for that race of emotion a bliss they had once felt. Much of the world has yet to find their November but there are very pivotal moments in life that come together to create that November, and that can only be found throughout life and new memories.
