4 Found Dead In SUV in Wisconsin

Last weekend on Sunday around 2 P.M., four friends were found dead in a parked SUV in a Dunn County, Wisconsin cornfield. 

Matthew Isiah Pettus (26), Loyace Foreman III (35), Nitosha Lee Flug-Presley (30), and Jasmine Christine Sturm (30) were all found shot and killed inside a parked SUV within 24 hours of their unfortunate death. 

26-year old Matthew Isiah Pettus of the Saint Paul, Minnesota area was the father of 3-year old girl Maelahni Pettus, half-brother of other victim Jasmine Christine Sturm, and brother of Zachary Pettus. As said by family members, Matthew was a great father to his young daughter Maelahni, often expressed his love of music by singing to her. As he worked at Shamrocks Grill & Pub, he also worked alongside half-sister Jasmine Sturm, at the West 7th Street diner (NewsFinale).

35-year old Loyace Foreman III of the Saint Paul area was the father of 2 boys, son of Loyace Foreman Jr., Senior Pastor at New Vision Faith Center, and the significant other of other victim Jasmine Sturm. According to the family of Foreman, he was a loved person with a liking of arts, stating “My brother loved wholeheartedly and was loved by many. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. He was an accomplished artist and loved music” . Foreman worked as demolition contractor (Nero). 

30-year old Nitosha Lee Flug-Presley, from Saint Paul as well, was the mother of two children, one boy and one girl. Nitosha was an outgoing person with a vibrant personality, a great mother to her two children, and kind-hearted according to her father, stating “She was an outgoing person, a very good mother, exceptional daughter, She was very vibrant, she had a good heart, someone who would lift up your spirits.” (Farberov).  

30-year old Jasmine Christine Sturm, from Saint Paul also, was the mother of 2 boys by the Victim Loyace Foreman III, the girlfriend of Foreman III, and the lifelong best friend of victim Nitosha Flug-Presley. Jasmine worked 2 jobs, one as a paralegal at a law firm, and a server alongside her half-brother Matthew Pettus (Farberov). 

At 2:18 PM On Sunday, September 12, 2021, the four victims were found shot and killed inside a parked SUV found in a Wisconsin cornfield, within the first 24 hours of their passing. After further investigation, investigators could not find any motive, also stating the suspects are most likely out of the area (Farberov). 

In the past 5 years, Milwaukee – the biggest city in Wisconsin- has seen 608 total homicides (83.8% being from death by a firearm). As we are still approaching the end of the year, Milwaukee has already seen 142 homicides (92% being from death by a firearm) in 2021 (The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). 

One of the two suspects, 56-year old Darren Lee McWright, from the same area as the victims, was arrested for the hiding of Foreman III, Sturm, Flug-Presley, and Pettus’ bodies. McWright is now being held in Ramsey County jail. While the first suspect has been caught, investigators are still out on the look for 38-year old Antoine Darnique Suggs, Believed to be in the Twin Cities area in Minnesota (NBC).
