Mark your calendars for the last Open Mic Night of 2019 this Friday night at Vinylyte Records & Skate Shop!
People of all ages are welcome to perform 2-3 original songs or covers, or simply come support Newnan’s local bands and artists. Vinylyte welcomes all styles of music, which normally ranges from bluegrass, to grunge, to rock & roll. Performers have the option to bring their own equipment, however, we provide instruments and backup from the owners of the shop just in case!
The last few open mics have had quite an impressive turnout of all ages. One of Northgate’s talented Vikings, Jay Pickard, is a frequent participant on the stage. He particularly chooses to perform at Vinylyte because, “It’s a perfect outlet to express my music to the public. I love the atmosphere of the place and the owners of the shop. They’re really cool, down to earth guys and I appreciate them giving all people the opportunity to play on their stage. Anyone can come play.”
Vinylyte Records is located at 28 South Court Square in Downtown Newnan. The event will take place from 6pm-8pm and is free of charge. Come support your local musicians and browse through some awesome vinyl! We’ll see you there!
