Week Four of Georgia Tech Football

Abby Glover, Staff Writer

After a By-week, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets lined up to play against Temple University, head coach Geoff Collins’ old school. The Temple Owls are from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The game didn’t take place in Temple’s home stadium, because the Temple Owls play their home games in the Philadelphia Eagles’ home stadium, Lincoln Financial Field.

The game started as a defensive struggle with both teams playing great defense. Then things fell apart in the second quarter, for the Jackets at least. It’s like they’d forgotten how to do anything remotely similar to playing football, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

In the second quarter, the Owls scored two touchdowns, making the score 14-0. In the second half of the game, Temple scored ten more points, ultimately putting Tech to shame. Georgia Tech only managed to score a meager two points off of a safety. The final score was 24-2. Better luck next time Jackets!
