The University of Georgia has been a respected football program for decades, but has recently been considered a perennial powerhouse, contending for the national title in the last few years. UGA went 11-3 in the 2018 season. They faced hard loses to LSU, Alabama, and Texas. After being beaten by Alabama because of missed calls, the Bulldogs were very upset, which led to a loss to Texas at the end of the season. This leads me to believe we will start off strong with this season with a big win against Vandy. The game is in Nashville at 7:30pm, the stands will be full of Dawg fans.

Next, the Dawgs follow Vandy with games against Murray State and Arkansas State. I predict both of these games to be wins. The score against Murray State will be around 43 points for the Bulldogs and 10 for the Racers. I also predict the Arkansas State Red Wolves to put 10 points on the board and the Dawgs to put up at least 35. The Red Wolves and Racers should not put up much of a fight, but the Georgia defense will.

The fourth game is probably the toughest on the Bulldog’s schedule. For the third time ever, the Bulldogs will face the Fighting Irish from Notre Dame in Athens! Tickets are around $570 each, and that’s for the higher levels. Kickoff is 8:00pm and the Bulldogs are ready. The two times the Dawgs and Irish have faced each other, the Dawgs won. In 1980, the University of Georgia beat the Irish and became National Champions! They never played again until 2017. The Dawgs took the win with a gut-wrenching score of 20 – 19. Davin Bellamy caused a fumble and took the undefeated record away for the Irish.

This game is most concerning because of UGA’s lack of receivers. UGA lost starters, Riley Ridley, Mecole Hardman, and Terry Godwin to the draft. We also lost star wide receiver Jereimah Hollonman to an assault allegation. The Dawgs should start the season 4 – 0, and they’ll have to if they plan to contend for another National Title.
