If you watch reality TV, then you’ve probably heard of ‘The Bachelor’. The popular reality show is about one bachelor choosing one fiance out of a large group of women over the course of two short months.  At the end of each new season, the man is set up on different dates with the women in an attempt to get to know them. Although it may seem ridiculous, there are quite a few couples that have lasted after the show. In the end, the show comes down between two women and the bachelor himself, who must propose to the one he wishes to marry.

Arie Luyendyk Jr., the bachelor, happened to be a former contestant on ‘The Bachelorette’ the female spinoff of ‘The Bachelor.’ Arie has to choose a soulmate between twenty nine different women and it obviously isn’t an easy task. Throughout the entire season there’s been multiple rumors about Arie and the last two women left at the end of the season Lauren B. and Bekah K.

On the season finale of ‘The Bachelor, ’ Arie told both women he loved them before making any final decision about who he wanted to be with. Then at the last minute he told Lauren he couldn’t go through with it and sent her home heartbroken. He then proceeded to get down on one knee and propose to Bekah. Arie and Bekah hit the one month mark of being engaged together, but he realized he still had strong feelings for Lauren. Arie dumped poor Bekah on national television and began talking to Lauren again around New Years.

When ‘The one after the final rose’ aired, the host, Chris Harrison, sat down with Lauren, Bekah, and Arie and had them all talk out their feelings. Bekah, being the kindhearted person that she is, told Arie that even though he dumped her, she wishes “nothing but happiness for him and Lauren” (The Bachelor). After Bekah went backstage, Arie got down on one knee and proposed to Lauren who definitely said yes, and now their still together! As for Bekah, being dumped worked out quite well for her as she is next season’s bachelorette. All bachelor and bachelorette fans should be super pumped for the upcoming season premiere of ‘The Bachelorette’ on May 28th!
