On October 27th, the Netflix original series Stranger Things released its second season, starring Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb Mclaughlin, and Noah Schnapp. After the end of the show’s first season, people raved for more. Finally, a year later, the fans got what they wished for.

The reviews for the second season of Strangers Things 2 are flooding in, and many of the critics are saying it’s a fun ride with lots of twist and turns that you’ll need to sit down for. The second season received a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, just a few points down from its season 1 rating, which scored a 96%. Jen Chaney of Vulture gave it high praise, saying it “might even exceed” expectations. She said that Stranger Things 2 is a suspenseful, thoroughly satisfying follow up to season 1 and that it goes to more emotionally deeper places than its prior season did.

When the second season of the Netflix original was announced back in August 2016, no one expected the show to be as good as it turned out to be. Many critics agree with Chaney, saying that the new season is darker, that they love it, and that they want a season 3 to air ASAP.  Critics are also raving about the actors that play Dustin, Eleven, Lucas, Mike, and Will, commending their ability to play their characters with so much depth at such young ages. Overall, the people say it’s a phenomenal show that the fans can’t get enough of.
