You move into a new house and stumble upon a locked door. Many thoughts run through your head as to what’s inside. Could the owner be hiding something or is it something of the unknown?

Annabelle: Creation (2017) is a horror movie that revolves around a possessed porcelain doll. It is a prequel to the 2014 Annabelle and the fourth installment to The Conjuring series, where Annabelle made her first appearance.

The Mullins grieve the loss of their daughter, Annabelle. The Mullins family thinks that their daughter’s spirit is present around the house by starting off with small gestures, which eventually lead to her asking for permission to move into the doll. The Mullins soon find out that it’s not their daughter who has taken over the porcelain doll, but it is an unknown entity looking for a human host.

If you haven’t seen the 2014 version of Annabelle, you definitely need to watch it before seeing Annabelle: Creation. The 2014 film starts out with the Higgin’s family being slaughtered by Annabelle and her boyfriend, who were in a cult that practiced demon worship. Annabelle run’s next door to the Form’s household and attempts to attack the expecting mother and her husband, where Annabelle finds the doll and commits suicide in the nursery, where the doll takes in the soul. In the 2017 film, the ending is the beginning of the 2014 horror film, so I would suggest seeing the first Annabelle.

The movie is definitely a thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat, and it is worth going to see.
